The Gloria Ting Center Charter – Gloria House at Jingumae

The Gloria Ting Center (GTC) at Jingumae is established by her heirs: Grace Ting Griffin, Maria Huang and George Oscar Ting in memory of their mother, Gloria Sung Ting of Tokyo Japan, widely loved as Ting Mama.

Mission

The mission of the Gloria Ting Center is to provide a warm and hospitable place where people can learn and experience the grace and truth of Jesus Christ by partnering with local churches and Christian organizations in the fulfillment of their ministry goals. This model was created by Ting Mama who provided fellowship from her home several times each week for over 40 years from 1964 through 2007.

      • Priority will be given to churches that Gloria Ting helped establish in Japan, Taiwan and China.
      • The GTC will be available to Christian groups. The GTC is non-denominational and international but is oriented to serving the larger Chinese community.

    Who May Use The Gloria Ting Center?

    • Any established Christian group or church may apply for use of the facility.
    • There is no restriction regarding ethnicity, race, gender or denomination in use of the facility.
    • No activities will be approved which inhibits or deters free use of the GTC by other approved groups.
    • The GTC cannot be used as the primary site for any church, nor as a home address for any church in formation. Regular offering will not be taken at the GTC.
    • The facility may only be used for activities associated with devotion and worship, shall include no illegal, illicit, immoral or objectionable activities. There shall be no activities which directly or indirectly result in emotional, psychological, spiritual or physical harm to any individual(s).
    • There shall be no activities which are contrary to generally established Christian beliefs, or which will result in Christian faith being perceived negatively, by attendees or the public.
    • There will be no overnight activities nor any person remaining on premises after midnight except by specific prior written permission by management.
    • Use of the facility may only occur by written permission and signing this agreement. All applications will be reviewed and acted upon in the order received. Recurring meetings may be set up in writing and will be reviewed annually.
    • Use of the facility is entirely subject to the discretion of the management.

    Rules of Use

    All meeting activities will be concluded by 10 p.m. Loud activities such as music or amplified speech which may disturb neighbors should be managed appropriately.

    • Each organization using the facility must return the facility to original cleaned condition upon completion of activity. The group leader will be responsible for its condition.
    • Each organization using the facility is liable and responsible for any damage resulting from its use. The responsible organization may not use facility until there are satisfactory reparation arrangements, as determined by management.
    • All expenses associated with holding the event including food and beverage are borne by the applicant.

    Hold Harmless

    The management and owners will be held harmless for any liabilities resulting from facility use, except those proven to be due to gross negligence by owners or management.

    Fees

    Fees will only be charged in the event of facility damage. Extraordinary costs will be borne by the applicant.

    Acceptance and Compliance to Rules of Use

    Use of the facility will constitute acceptance of all terms of this agreement
